Why This Work Is Personal.
My connection to this mission extends far beyond professional training.
My understanding of scars is not only professional, but personal. Throughout my life, I have experienced the physical and emotional impact that scars can have following medical procedures, injuries, and other life-changing events. I understand how visible reminders can affect self-image and confidence long after the physical wounds have healed. That perspective continues to shape my compassionate, client-centered approach.
These experiences taught me that healing is about more than skin alone—it is also about confidence, identity, and feeling comfortable in your own body.
As someone living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I understand firsthand how scarring, stretch marks, and skin changes can affect confidence and self-image. I have experienced the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany altered skin and the feeling of seeing those reminders every day.
I am also a BRCA2 mutation carrier. Like many individuals facing hereditary cancer risk, I have navigated difficult medical decisions and preventive procedures that can permanently change the way you view your body. Through that journey, I gained a deeper understanding of something many survivors already know: healing does not end when surgery is over.
These experiences shaped the vision for Integrative Skin Restoration Center. I wanted to create a place where people affected by surgery, scarring, stretch marks, pigment loss, and reconstruction could find compassionate care from someone who understands that restoration is about more than appearance.
Every scar tells a story of survival. Every stretch mark reflects a chapter of life. Every client who walks through our doors deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and at home in their own skin.
My goal is to help bridge the gap between physical healing and emotional recovery by providing personalized restorative services that support both.
Because for many people, this work is not about changing who they are.
It is about helping them recognize themselves again.

Founder Lindsey Rose brings a multidisciplinary background to Integrative Skin Restoration Center, combining restorative pigmentation training with education and experience in psychology, photography, digital imaging, graphic arts, commercial printing, and research.
